Is the race difficult?

Not in the slightest! Color Vibe is all about fun, excitement, and vibrant energy. It’s a lighthearted event where the focus is on enjoying the experience, not on speed or competition. Whether you’re running, walking, or simply soaking in the colorful atmosphere, there’s no pressure to rush. Are there age limits?

Absolutely not! Color Vibe welcomes participants of all ages to join in the fun and experience the excitement of our colorful event. We do recommend that children wear sunglasses for protection, and for toddlers and infants, a covering for the mouth may also be a good idea. While our color powder is non-toxic and primarily made from corn starch, it could potentially irritate younger participants more than adults.

Children ages 1-12 are welcome to join the race with a paid adult. Please note that kids’ tickets do not include a race kit but these items can be purchased as part of the registration process. All children who wish to participate must be registered.Strollers are perfectly fine, though some courses may include dirt, grass, or trails, so we recommend using a jogging stroller for the best experience. We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the colorful celebration—there’s no age limit on fun!

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever you’re comfortable in, but we highly recommend wearing white clothing. The vibrant colors will show up best on white, ensuring you get the full colorful experience and look amazing throughout the event!

Can my family watch?

Most definitely they can come be a part of the craziest color day of your life! Just be sure to give them a big hug at the finish line for coming to support you! :) There's also lots of fun booths and vendors for them to check out while you're getting color blasted on the color course!

What is the difference between a color run and chalk run?

What's the difference between a color run and chalk run you ask? The Color Vibe is a 5K Run with color that is sometimes referred to as a paint run, paint race, chalk run, chalk race, or our personal favorite "color paint chalk race 5K run and party event". So when people refer to a chalk or paint run, they are most likley talking about the same thing as a color run, (or colour run, depending on where you live). Color Vibe might be one of many 5k color runs throughout the nation, but it has the best color party around, and it's a first-class color 5K production!

Can I Walk the Color Vibe?

Walking is totally acceptable here at the Color Vibe. You will be one of many who will be walking. We don't time the race and it is non-competitive, so you won't feel any pressure. Enjoy the beautiful colors!

How do I volunteer for the Color Vibe?

We'd love to have you come and help as a volunteer! Please select the color event in your city or area, and then click on the volunteer link in the menu on the left hand side to register as a volunteer. Volunteers typically throw color on the participants, and/or help with registration, and clean up, and give lots of love at the finish line (high fives and "Good Job, you did it's!").

Can I refund my registration?

Bummer, No. Unfortunately it's impossible for us to offer refunds. You can still pick up your race packet and race goodies, or you can transfer your registration to someone else up to 1 week prior to the event free of charge.

Is the race timed?

No timing chips, but you will have the "time of your life"! The Color Vibe is not competitive, we're all about getting people active and having fun! Plus, we're a great 'gateway' into other running events, like 10K's, half marathons, marathons, triathlons, and mall-walking. If you do want to be timed, we suggest that you wear a watch or start the timer on your phone and run, run, run, as fast as you can! We'll be so proud of you! :)

Will the color stain my clothes, shoes, or makeup?

If you want a lot of color to hit your shirt, plan to run or walk closer to the color throwers. If you want only a little bit of color, run or walk in the farthest lane from the throwers. The color does mostly wash out after the event, but some of it can stain. As with anything, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn't mind getting the color on. For you blondies out there, we suggest putting in leave-in conditioner, especially if you have bleach blond hair.
